As 2017 comes to a wine down I believe we can all agree that this was by far the best and one of the hardest years yet. I know for myself that every triumph was also met with an equally hard moment. Looking back over the year I can honestly say that some of my happiest moments and most creative moments were when I was traveling the world and not trying to make a nine to five happen.
I bounced from having a morning and spiritual practice to nothing, to spending a week in Morocco finding my center, to separating from my husband. I launched a handbag line, traveled to Mexico, saw my cousin marry the love of her life and then received a buy out on my apartment.
Looking back 2017 truly was a foundation year, a cleansing year. It was all about ridding myself of things that weren't serving me and pushing me out of my comfort zone. For someone who has a hard time doing things alone and meeting new people, I went on two trips alone to meet up with other women from around the world to spend a week crafting ourselves. The creativity that came out of that alone was worth it for.
Traveling really helps you see what isn't even needed in your life and what truly matters. I learned that wands are words and what you focus on is what you bring more of into your life, the good and the bad.
"You are the magic you create yourself."
As I look forward to 2018 I can see the fresh beginnings on the horizon. I can see the greatness coming in. I can feel my next collection at the edge of my fingertips, I can see my book being typed on a vintage typewriter, I can feel the early morning calm from waking up in my new apartment and I feel the sunshine that accompanies those moments.
Continuing following me here to see how we're going to make 2018 a great year, from letting our feelings lead the way, exploring and crafting the life we've always wanted.
All the love,
