Friday Favorites: Fresh Herbs, Sparkle & Flying
They say it's the little things in life that matter the most. So heres my list of five little things that I am loving right now.
On a recent trip to Home Depot for yet another hanging plant, there's a macrame lesson coming soon. I picked up some fresh herbs that would thrive in my kitchen's window sill. I love the ability to add them to any meal and the smell is just a bonus when it drifts through the studio on the breeze. I grabbed some mint, hot and spice oregano, cinnamon basil, sweet basil and cilantro.
Grocery shopping doesn't suck so much when the list is doodled in pink and blue sparkly gel pens. The smooth gliding ink takes me back to my childhood, I remember scribbling away in some notebook. Things have to get done, so why not cross them off in sparkle colored ink?
I've always been a fan of Kate Hudson, I'll watch anything with her in it, plus her style is divine. So when she released her book Pretty Happy I scooped it up. It's an enjoyable read with step by step workshops to help you become balanced. I've been carrying it around in my bag with a journal for when I'm out and have a free moment to work on it. Here's to arriving to yoga early!
Not literally. Though I do have traveling through the airport down to an art form. This flying is done with aerial silks, think yoga but in the air. It's amazing. Don't be intimidated, take a Air Restore or an Air Foundation and get moving!
Now That's the Stuff
At the end of the day there's nothing better than slipping into a clean soft bed with high count sheets to wrap around you. Don't believe me? Try it yourself, head to the bedding department and pick up some luxury five hundred thread count sheets. It's pure heaven. And if you've got the whole bed to yourself to stretch out, even better.
